Dealing on your account
We had anticipated the last day for dealing in your investments through Direct Sharedeal would be Thursday 12 August 2010 but this has now been extended until further notice while client transfer contines.

For clients that have been fully migrated to ODL then they can of course trade directly with ODL

Q. I have visited the ODL Website and noticed their fees were different to the rates quoted to us by Sharewatch?

A. The Sharewatch rates are completely different to what are on ODL's website . The new Sharewatch Rates are lower and will start from €14.95 or 0.3% for Online Trading and €40 or 0.3% for Telephone Trading.

Q. Will I phone the same telephone number?

A. The regular number of 1890 946649 will be answered as Sharewatch by Direct Sharedeal up and until the 26th August. After that time it will be answered as Sharewatch by ODL Securities. In the mean time you can contact ODL Securities at the following number 1890 818111 from Monday 2nd August 2010.

Q. Will I need different Currency Accounts to trade different markets

A. No, you can trade with the currency of your choice and trade in different markets

Q. What Stocks can I trade online

A. Ireland, UK, US, Australia, Canada, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, France, Switzerland

Q. Will I be charged for transferring to the new execution partner

A. No charge for transferring to our new execution partner

Q. What will I be charged if I transfer to another broker

A. You will be charged €30 per line of stock

Q. Where are my investments held?

A. As an equities account your account is segregated. This means that all holdings in the account (cash and equity) form no part of ODL's Balance sheet or trading equity.

We hold cash balances with either National Westminster Bank in London, or with Wachovia Bank in the US. Both are again held in segregated accounts. Furthermore, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (http://www.fscs.org.uk/what-we-cover/eligibility-rules/compensation-limits/) covers 100% of the first £50,000 held per person, per firm. The Irish Compensation Scheme only covers 90% of the first €20k per person.

Your shares are held in ODL Nominees Ltd nominee account. You remain the beneficial owner. The Nominee account is a custody account which guarantees the assets held there in.

Q. Change in Crest?

A. It is important to note that if you currently hold your assets within a Crest Sponsored Membership account then your Sponsored Membership account will be closed and your holdings will be transferred to ODL Securities and held within their pooled Nominee account. However if you wish to retain your Sponsored Membership account at Crest you will need to find a broker who provides this service and then contact DSL to facilitate the transfer of Participant to your new Broker.
