Officers Address

We the Centenary Officers, are most conscious of the honour our
predecessors and the members have bestowed on us. It is our
fervent hope that we can do justice to the office and to the special
year 2009.

We are particularly grateful to the various committees which have
worked hard to put together the schedule of events which you
will see in your 2009 diary. In this regard, the work of the special
Centenary Committee is particularly appreciated. Not many
members will realise that this special committee commenced
work in early 2006 and we are sure that you will appreciate and
enjoy the fruits of their labours.
Representing the Club at outside events will have a special
meaning this year. As well as the usual golfing and social
activities we will have the unique liason with the three other clubs
celebrating their Centenaries- Thurles, Bandon and Laytown
Bettystown.
The success of our golf and social events is largely dependent on
the support of our members and we urge you to study our 2009
diary and note the events which interest you. The support of our
regular sponsors together with the special 2009 sponsors is the
other essential ingredient in our year’s activity and we thank them
most sincerely for their involvement.
The many members who quietly work behind the scenes are
especially appreciated. We wish you all a truly memorable
Centenary year.
